The Most Exciting U.S. Hotels Opening In 2021

Many sectors of the economy are suffering due to the impact of COVID-19. Nowhere is that more evident than in the travel and tourism industry. Over 70% of hotels in the U.S. in danger of closing without further financial relief from the U.S. government according to estimates from the American Hotels and Lodging Association. Despite the historic downturn, however, there are a surprising number of fabulous new hotels still planning to open their doors this coming year, both across the United States and abroad. Here are 12 of the most exciting U.S. hotels opening in 2021 (in order of opening date), and what guests can expect to experience at each.

11. Montage Big Sky, Spanish Peaks, Montana: 2021

The latest lodge from this luxury label is set to welcome guests sometime this year at the edge of Yellowstone National Park. With ski-in, ski-out access to the Big Sky Resort and an 18-hole golf course designed by Tom Weiskopf, not to mention pastimes like hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing and fly fishing, there are sure to be outdoor adventures for everyone in the family. The hotel will comprise 150 rooms and suites, plus 39 palatial Montage Residences. The 11,000 square foot Spa Montage will contain 10 treatment rooms, two couple’s treatment rooms, a salon and even an indoor lap pool. There will also be a lobby bar with panoramic views, a pub and bowling alley, a more refined restaurant serving fresh mountain fare, and a market for grab and go. Rates are not yet available.
